A summer week!

This past week was our week to just be here without much planned.  We did take a few days at the lake with Grandma and friends.

The lake cottage is on Lone Tree Point next to Pokagon State Park so we were able to walk to the park and enjoy some time at The Nature Center and the Potawotami Inn.  We decided next time it was 100 degrees maybe we wouldn't take quite such a big walk!

Back to the water quick!  Ahhh!  The lake is the only place to be on a hot sunny day!  We are blessed to have a grandma that shares her lake cottage with us.  Thanks Mom/Grandma Carol Walker-Dick!

Since we were in town we were able to get in some Wildcate Baseball.  The kids love this league because it is very relaxed and they are able to learn and have fun while doing it.

We ran back up to the lake on Thursday to help Mom/Grandma celebrate her 76th birthday.  Ice cream cakes are the best!  Notice we had a limited selection of candles so the 2+5 was for the 7 and the 5+1 is for the 6 therefore you get 76!  Happy Birthday Mom!  We love you!

We are very blessed to have some wonderful families join us at the lake.  The Schenkel family came up on Thursday and the Boroff family came on Friday.  Nothing better than friends at the lake!

The Boroff family came from Convoy, OH and they have 2 kiddos (Sandria & Moses) from the same children's home as Josh & Cate in the Philippines.  So our kids were friends (really family) back at King's Garden Children's Home, Orion, Bataan, PI.  So cool that they have reconnected here in the USA.

Just incase you are wondering, Josh did not really drive the boat but he dreams of the day that he will be in the driver's seat!

On Saturday we went to the Fort Wayne zoo.  It was Jeff's first visit and the kids were excited to show him around.

As we count down our summer weeks we are keeping super busy and having fun each day.  We continue to ...

Choose joy,
Chris & crew
