So busy time really does fly.

Once again this week seemed to fly by.  On Thursday, Jeff's work (Raytheon) had an open house for families.  We got to all go out there and see where Daddy works.

On Friday, Nick & Autumn came to town with Nolan.  They spent the night on Friday and watched the game on Saturday.

On Saturday we drove to Luke & Susi's (2 1/2 hours away) and spent the night.  We toured Luke's cool Indy car buidling and got to see some of the neat cars.

We also went rock climbing and ate pizza king with them.

On Sunday we drove to Grandma Joan's ( 2 hour car trip) for a visit.  She has a fun park we enjoyed.  Then we drove home (2 hr trip) so it was a lot of driving but we got to see many of our favorite family members.

That was a fun week.  In basketball this week we are learning about the virtue of "Faith." ....We live by believing and not by seeing.  2 Corinthians 5:7.   We love these weekly scriptures.  What great rules to live by.  We are counting on our God to lead us.  Thanks for reading the blog.

7 Months in the USA

It is hard to believe we have passed the 7 month mark. It seems like we were just celebrating the 6 month milestone. This past week we had Valentine's Day and we really wanted to show Josh & Cate what "Family Love" is all about. We let them bake their own heart shaped cakes and had a special dinner plus gifts. It was fun for all of us.

The kids enjoyed making hats out of the wrapping paper!

A visit to Grandma Carol's & Grandpa Bob's was fun and more candy hearts were acquired! It was fun to get the candy hearts with words on them since reading in English is a big deal at our house.

The favorite part of the cake was the frosting for both Josh & Cate.  They didn't really care much for the inside texture.  They did however love all the Valentine's candy.  No problem there!

Both Josh & Cate received big furry soft stuffed dogs.  Cate's is pink and she named her Chloe.  Josh's is red and he named him Clifford.  (We read alot of "Clifford the Big Red Dog" books.)

Our friend, Miss JulieAnn Graham, stopped by with some fun treats. Thanks Miss JulieAnn!

School was out on Friday for a teacher inservice day so we met up with our friends, Miss Mindy and Chris.  We ate out at Pizza King where they had fun swings to sit in while you eat and video games to help pass the time.  Afterwards we played with the skateboard and tag at their house.

We had basketball as usual on Saturday and our Great Uncle Jerry (Grandma Carol's brother) came to watch.  Thanks Uncle Jerry for your support.

We tried out 2 new restaurants with the kids this weekend.  We went to Chick-filet and Fazolis.  The kids always love chicken and noodles in any form so we thought we were safe with these choices.  Chick-Filet had a play area so they really loved that.

The really big event of the weekend was Josh & Cate sang at The Chapel on Sunday morning with about 100 children.  They sang "I'm Counting on God" and "Our God is Greater".  They have been practicing on Wed nights and it was really fun to see them up there on the altar praising God!  It was joyous for sure to watch!  What a blessing The Chapel is to us!

Cate lost a tooth so that was pretty big excitement.  Josh has already lost 2 so she has been eagerly anticipating this day.  Cate was brushing her teeth and it just fell out.  She grabbed it before it went down the drain.

We also do normal things during the week like swimming & basketball at the YMCA plus these guys are great at doing flips and roundoffs in the living room.  I am going to check out gymnastics in the area.

They love their dogs...both stuffed and real!

Thanks again for the reading the blog.  It is fun for me to write it and reminds me of how precious these children are to God and me!  Only with Him are we able to do what we've been called to do.  We will continue to serve Him and ...
