Cubs Game

The big excitement this week was we went to a Chicago Cubs game.  We've had the tickets for awhile so we've been counting down the days.  May 5th finally arrived and we got up early to take the train into Chicago and Wrigley Field.  The Clark family has been long time Cubs fans so it's a big deal when new members go to Wrigley Field for the first time.  It was a great day.  Josh & Cate handled themselves really well.  Our 2 sons and families joined us plus nephew Nate Troup and future bride Jessica Nelson.  The 10 of us enjoyed our time together.

The train rides going and coming were fun.  It was great to be together so we could all pass around Nolan and enjoy Josh & Cate.  First time train rides for these 3 kiddos!

At Wrigley Field you can buy a brick in memory or celebration of a loved one.  Harley Clark is Jeff's dad and a life long Cubs fan.  It was fun to find his brick and remember his love for the Cubs and family.

Above you see the boys that joined us at the game and below you see the girls that came.  What a fun crowd!

Above is the Chris & Jeff Clark family that attended the game.  We sure missed Courtney and Zach.  We cherish each and everyone of our children and their families.  Praise God for the love of family.

Here you have the future Mr. & Mrs. Nathan Troup.  So good to have them join us!  Again you can't beat family!
Nick wanted to see the Sandberg #14 flag come down.  That was Nick's high school baseball number.  Ryne was a familiar name at our house while Nick was growing up.  I'm sort of surprised Nolan isn't named Ryne but Nolan is a great baseball name too!

We enjoyed seeing Anna Troup for a few minutes.  It definitely was too short of visit.  Sorry Anna it was so quick.  We are thankful we got to see you even though it was quick.

Back on the train and headed home.  Nolan was the best boy ever all day long.  This is one happy Cubs fan!  Actually it is 2 happy Cubs' fans!  Nolan and Grandpa had a good day at the ballpark.
