Happy Mother's Day!

This week was super busy for us.  Josh is playing baseball 2 nights a week and we had a big choir production at The Chapel that the kids were involved in so lots of busy nights.  Plus we had a family graduation and baby dedication and of course the best day ever, Mother's Day!  So here we go for some fun filled pictures of all the excitement.

The first exciting event this week was The Chapel did a little video clip of our family to include in their "I am not forgotten" portion of their Mother's Day musical.  The kids were movie stars for a awhile in the back yard and loved showing off for the camera.

Here is the actual link to the finished product.  Hopefully it will come through.  You may have to copy and paste to get it to work.    http://vimeo.com/41938159  We are thankful to The Chapel for being such great supporters and promoters for adoption.

The musical was great fun for the kids.  It was jam packed with lots of action and singing.  They had kids using hula hoops, jumping on trampolines, swinging from vines, and singing about the love of Jesus.  The main theme was "God is Wild About You!" Here you'll see just a small dose of what fun it was!

Grandma Walker & Grandpa Bob came to cheer them on.

Pastor Rick Hawks is so loved by Josh & Cate.  They just can't wait to run up and give him a hug everytime they see him.  Thanks Rick for loving on our kids!  Somehow we ended up being the lucky owners of not 1 but 2 big plastic monkeys!  Now we have 4 monkeys at our house!  I think we might have to just accidently leave them at the Hawks' pool one day this summer.

As you can see in the pictures above we had a fun evening and a great way to end Mother's Day.  What's better than seeing your kids on stage singing about Jesus!

Our nephew, Matt Walker, graduated from college this week.  Congratulations Matt!  We're proud of you.

And grandson, Nolan Denham Clark, was dedicated at Northview Church in Carmel, IN.

Nolan was a happy camper even though he was passed around by so many people.  He had 2 great grandmas and a great grandpa plus his Grandma & Grandpa Hunt and Grandma & Grandpa Clark plus his Aunt Sarah, Aunt Cate, Uncle Josh, and Great Aunt Dawn all there to support him.  So much family is so great!

While Jeff and Josh were at baseball, Cate and I got to go out to dinner with some of our favorite people this week.  Great to see you Uncle Kirk, Aunt Jenni, Jon, and Grandma Walker!

We had some houseguests over the weekend in the midst of all the fun.  Pastor Ray and Mom Deborah stopped by.  They were the interim directors of King's Garden Children's Home in the Philippines for awhile when Josh & Cate lived there.  They have been in the states raising support and were in our area.  They will return to the PI in Sept for a 4 year stay.  We are glad they stopped by for a visit.  Josh & Cate love to see them.  They are like family to them and they were very excited that they came to spend the night with us.

The last day of the week was Mother's Day and it was a good one.  Happy Mother's Day to my mommy, Carol Walker-Dick.  Thanks for all the love and support you give to me Mom.

Thanks Josh & Cate for the gorgeous flowers and Hershey candy bars plus M & Ms.  All of my favorite things!

"We love our Mom! And she loves us!"

I'm a very blessed mom.  Not only did I have Josh & Cate showering me with flowers and chocolate, I also was treated with phone calls and gifts from my 2 sons and wives.  Happy Mother's Day to me!

I hope you've had a good week.  As the song says "You are not forgotten!  You are not forgotten!  You are not forgotten!  God knows your name!"  So remember.....God is wild about you!

Choosing Joy,
Chris & crew
