Halloween in the USA Round 2

The kids did the trick or treat thing.  It is so hard to explain this tradition.  I mean really why is it we ring neighbors' doorbells and say "trick or treat" (which Josh & Cate can't even pronounce correctly it seems) and then they are given candy....a ridiculously large amount of candy.  I mean really do they need 5 candy bars from each house?  I'm all for candy but the amount they brought home was really really crazy.

Cate wore her "Super Girl" costume from last year.  She wanted a real costume instead of a created at home one. Josh originally wanted to be a football player and then later switched to the "Business Man" look.

Of course we had to roast some pumpkin seeds after the carvings.,  The seeds turned out yummy!

Sometimes we have to do normal things at our house like homework, changing lightbulbs, and watching movies with Dad!

On Sunday we went out to Fazoli's with our good friend Mindy.  Thanks Mindy for the fun lunch.

After lunch we asked some friends to go to the YMCA swimming with us.  It was alot of fun.

It was a pretty calm week once we got Halloween behind us.  Next week Josh has surgery!  Adenoids are coming out!  Read all about it next week.  Thanks for praying for us and reading the blog and always remember our motto ....

Choosing joy,
Chris & crew
