Ending 3rd grade May 2012

We are near the end of school and in fact today is the last day of their first year in school in the USA.  Where did the year go?  Sometimes it seems like we just got these guys and then sometimes it seems we've known them forever.

This week was field day (Grandma Walker joined us) and field trip day at Whispering Meadows Elementary.  Check out the fun they had on both days.  The field trip was to tour the Embassy Theater and Parkview Field (where our Tin Caps baseball team plays) in downtown Fort Wayne.

You can see field day was a lot of fun and the weather was hot so they brought in a big fire truck to hose everyone down.  The kids really loved that and it kept them cooled off.  We celebrated afterwards at DQ.  This was Josh & Cate's first time to go to Dairy Queen.  Now onto the field trip.

Josh also played in his first baseball game this week.  He did a great job.  I was very proud of the way he ran on and off the field, listened to the coach, and didn't make any errors.  He did great.

We did some normal everyday things too like fishing and power washing the house.  Life is a little more relaxed these days with summer here so sometimes we just act goofy.

We ended our week with being at the lake cottage.  It was about 90 degrees in the shade so it was  perfect weather for our first floating & boating of the season.

You can see we are having a lot of fun with Josh & Cate and we plan on doing the same all summer long.  Thanks for reading the blog and always remember you have a choice and we are....

Lake time begins!

The weather has decided to warm up here rather quickly.  It was in the 90's over the weekend and is to continue.  We spent Saturday at Lake James doing a few odds & ends for Grandma to help her get the cottage ready for summer.  Those jobs included planting flowers, sweeping the deck, building with Grandpa, and of course swimming & fishing!  Josh & Cate discovered Lake James is very cold in May.

Saturday night we were lucky to get Tin Caps tickets from Raytheon.  That is always a fun treat to go to the ballgame.

And of course I have to add a few pictures of our Sweet Nolan.

As always thanks for reading the blog and praying for us.

Josh & Cate are about to finish their first year of school in the USA and I have no doubt their great year is in response to all the prayers and support we receive from our friends and family.  Please continue to pray as we continue....
